Mikes Bikes and Ice is Southeast South Dakota’s and Northeast Nebraska’s cycling and hockey headquarters, located in Yankton, South Dakota along the scenic Missouri River. Michael J. Freeman, the owner, has been in the cycling business for over 10 years and started “tinkering” on his Schwinn Sting-Ray when he was 7 years old (almost 30 years ago) where he grew up in Laurel, Nebraska. This was also the place where Michael got his taste of skating on ponds around Laurel and the joy of hockey from his uncles playing in Omaha.

Since those many years ago in Laurel the biking and skating industries have changed dramatically (so has Michael). Instead of handful of wrenches and screwdrivers to work on his Sting-Ray, Mikes Bikes and Ice has hundreds of tools and a professional staff specifically to get your bike in tip-top shape. They also have some of the best bikes and accessories available from top brands such as Giant, Giro, Bell, Yakima, Thule, Pearl Izumi, Continental, Shimano, and many more. On the skating side top brands are no stranger to Mikes Bikes and Ice, from brands like CCM, Nike/Bauer, Sherwood, Reebok, and many more.
